Riley Hickman Begins 2020 Season at Boyd's for Cabin Fever

On Saturday evening Riley Hickman visited Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) pulling double duty in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks to kick off the 2020 season. Drawing 28 Crate Late Models for the Cabin Fever, Hickman followed up the fifth fastest lap in time trials with a heat race victory. Starting the $1,500-to-win A-Main in fifth, Riley dropped six spots in the 20-lapper to place 11th.

In a field of 18 Schaffer’s Iron-Man Series entries on Saturday, Riley came in second fastest overall in qualifying before placing 2nd in his heat behind John Ownbey. Starting Sunday afternoon’s $5,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Hickman suffered a broken driveshaft on lap 22 while running in 3rd that ended his night early.
