The 2022 season got underway for Riley Hickman on Saturday afternoon at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) aboard his Franklin Enterprises No. R1 Late Model. With a second-place finish in his B-Main pinning him on the seventh row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Hickman advanced through the field nine spots in the 40-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. With his qualifying effort lining him up fifth on the starting grid for the $5,054-to-win A-Main, Hickman faded late in the 54-lap affair to cross the line in 11th. August 14, 2021 - Heartbreaker in Governor's Cup at Talladega Short Track |
 Back behind the wheel of the No. R1 Late Model, Riley Hickman visited Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon for the B.J. Parker Memorial Governor’s Cup. With a stout field of 45 Southern All Star Series entries on hand, Hickman topped the charts in time trials to claim the Knowles Pace Parts & Bodies fast time honors. Outdueling Sam Seawright in his 10-lap heat race, Riley locked into the pole position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. After pacing the field for the first 50 circuits, Hickman suffered a flat tire while trying to fend off Michael Page on lap 57 that brought a disappointing end to his evening. January 10, 2021 - Riley Hickman attends Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track |
 Saturday night saw Riley Hickman return to action at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the 30th annual Ice Bowl. Drawing 49 Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series entries for the two-day event, Riley timed in third fastest in his qualifying group before placing fifth in his heat.
