Top 10 finish with Southern Nationals at Crossville
On Thursday evening Riley Hickman made his debut with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) for the 10th round of the 12-race miniseries. Drawing 18 cars, Riley secured his spot into the $3,500-to-win A-Main with the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group. The following night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.), Hickman came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place outing. Scoring a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Vic Hill, Riley earned the 18th-starting position for the main event. With $10,053 on the line, Hickman was the first retiree from the 53-lapper on the ninth lap.
