Thursday brought Riley Hickman to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the opening night of the NeSmith RockAuto.com Winter Shootout sanctioned Bubba Army Winter Nationals. In a field of 51 Crate Late Models, Hickman recorded the 7th fastest time in his qualifying group transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the opening night feature, Riley captured a 12-lap consolation victory locking him into the 14th-starting position. With $2,000 on the line, Riley Hickman slipped back to a 19th place outing in the 40-lap affair.
The following night, Hickman laid down the second fastest time in his qualifying group positioning him 3rd on the starting grid for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Falling short of a Top-10 finish, Riley dropped back to a 19th place finish.
Wrapping up the Bubba Army Winter Nationals on Saturday, Hickman came up one position short of locking his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group. Transferring into the B-Main for one final shot at the Chevrolet Performance World Championship, Riley fell back to a 11th place outing bringing an early end to his weekend.
