October 25th, 2014 - Hickman Bags Third Cleveland Win; Trouble at Winchester
Riley Hickman entered a pair of events in his home-state of Tennessee over the weekend.

The team traveled to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the running of the Rebel 40, which boosted a $3,000 winner's check. Twenty-three entries registered for the event, and Riley started his night by qualifying second in his group during time trials to lock into the third starting spot for the finale. When the feature went green, Hickman would quickly find his way to the front. Unfortunately, while maneuvering through lapped traffic, contact with a slower car would bring his night to an early end.

Earlier in the weekend Riley entered a Steel Head Late Model Weekly Racing Series program at Cleveland Speedway (Cleveland, Tennessee). Hickman locked into the main event via preliminary action before racing to his third victory of the season at 1/3 mile oval. October 18th, 2014 - Hickamn Extends SAS Points Lead with Talladega Victory
As the 2014 Southern All Star (SAS) Racing Series season nears an end, Riley Hickman extend his current points lead with the tour following a $4,000 triumph on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama).

Hickman started his outing by posting the fastest lap overall among the thirty-four entries during qualifications, locking him into the outside-front-row alongside Tom Maddox for the feature. When the race went green, Hickman out-dueled Maddox for the top spot and immediately began to pull away from the field. A trio of yellow flags on laps 13, 18 and 29 nine briefly slowed the action during the 40 lap affair. However, Hickman would never shake his momentum and cap off a dominating performance with the victory over Ray Cook, Tom Maddox, Jason Croft and Kyle Beard. (Photo by Connie Putnam)

Riley continues to lead the latest SAS point’s standings. Complete results from the event and the latest series standings are available at www.SASDirt.com

Earlier in the weekend Hickman entered a $1,500-to-win, Limited (Steelhead) Late Model program at Cleveland Speedway (Cleveland, Tennessee). Twenty-two entries were on hand for the Friday night event at the 1/3 mile oval.

Riley timed in second during qualifications to lock into the second starting spot for the 30 lap finale. The start of the feature saw Hickman and fellow front-row starter Cory Hedgecock battling for the top spot before Hickman took control after the first three circuits. Hickman was able to extend his advantage over the field in heavy lapped traffic, despite a close call with a pair of slower cars that left him with noticeable right side damage on lap 22.

Hickman would ultimately avoid disaster and lead the remaining seven laps to score the win over Rick Hickson, Hedgecock, Bryan Pritchard and Skip Arp.

October 11th, 2014 - Busy Weekend for Hickman Ends with Podium Finish
Riley Hickman pulled double duty over the weekend as he traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the 11th Annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100. Hickman competed in both the Super Late Model and NeSmith Crate Late Model divisions.

Seventy-two Super Late Models registered for competition at the 3/8 mile oval in the $20,000-to-win event, and via time trials on Friday night Riley started fourth in his heat race before fading to a fifth place finish. With only the top three finishers transferring to the feature he was relegated to the fourth starting spot in a b-main on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, Hickman failed to reach a transfer position to the 100 lap finale through the b-main, and his weekend would come to an early end.

The NeSmith Crate Late Model portion of the mega-event saw a field of fifty-two entries signed in to chase the $3,000 top prize. Via preliminary action on Friday night Hickman locked into the sixth starting spot for Saturday night's finale. Riley went on to register a third place finish in the main event behind race winner, Michael Arnold and Kyle Shaw. Completing the top five finishers were Daniel Bridgmon and Jeremy Shaw.
