September 24th, 2016 - Pair of Podium Finishes in AL State Championship; Hickman Clinches

Competing in the Southern All Star Series weekend, Riley Hickman visited East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday for the two-day Alabama State Championships. Failing to secure his spot in qualifying, Hickman scored a consolation win giving him the 11th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win opening night A-Main. Working his way into the podium spot, Riley advanced eight positions registering a runner-up finish behind Casey Roberts with Gar Dickson, Ronnie Johnson, and Austin Horton completing the Top 5.

On Sunday for a chance at another $5,000 payday, Hickman posted another top 5 Finish in the main event. Following qualifying, Riley notched a 5th place finish in the 40-lap A-Main trailing Chris Madden, Jason Hiett, Austin Smith and Casey Roberts across the finish line. (Glen S Photo)

With his performance over the weekend Riley Hickman clinched his 4th straight Southern All Star Series title.

September 17th, 2016 - Hickman Posts Top 5 Finish With UCRA Series

Pulling double duty, Riley Hickman headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Southern All Stars and United Crate Racing Alliance (UCRA) sanctioned program. Competing in a field of 25 Super Late Models for the $5,000-to-win King of the Mountain Fall Classic, Hickman was an early retiree from the main event after suffering mechanical issues.

In his Crate Late Model, Hickman scored a heat race win securing his spot into the $2,500-to-win feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Riley notched a 4th place finish behind Jake Teague, William Thomas, and Tanner Works with John Ownbey coming in 5th.

September 10th, 2016 - Riley Hickman Attends World 100 at Eldora Speedway

Running in the 46th Annual World 100, Riley Hickman made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night for the UMP sanctioned weekend. Drawing 108 Super Late Models for the first round of preliminary features, Hickman placed 9th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the 25-lap opening night A-Main, Riley registered an 8th place outing.

On Friday starting on the front row of his heat, Riley fell two spots short of transfer position into the feature with a 6th place finish. Starting in 3rd for his B-Main, Hickman landed a runner-up finish behind Alex Ferree securing his spot into the feature. Battling for a $10,000 payday, Riley advanced seven positions in the 25-lapper posting a 17th place finish.

Wrapping up the World 100 weekend, Hickman needed a 3rd place finish in his heat to make the main event. Coming up two positions short with a 5th place outing, Riley had one last shot at the $49,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 5 into the main event, Riley Hickman fell back to a 11th place outing.

September 4th, 2016 - Hickman Finds Victory Lane at Rome Speedway

Kicking off the Labor Day Weekend, Riley Hickman headed to Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Southern All Star Series event. Competing in a field of 18 Super Late Models, Hickman timed in 3rd fastest in his group putting him 5th on the starting rundown for the feature. Holding his position for all 40 laps, Riley posted a 5th place finish behind Josh Putnam, Brad Skinner, Eric Hickerson, and Ray McElhiney.

On Saturday night Riley hopped behind the wheel of his CT 525-powered Late Model for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. Drawing 30 cars for the Rome Boss, Hickman timed in 2nd fastest in his group behind Tyler Millwood. Earning the 4th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Hickman reeled in the leader by 33. Holding off the field for the remaining 77 laps, Riley Hickman notched his 16th victory of the season over Jake Knowles, Tyler Millwood, William Thomas, and Michael Page. (Kevin Prater Photo)
