The day began with Hickman timing in second overall among a stout field of forty-eight entries during qualifications, sending him to the Dash. He went on to win the Dash, positioning him on the pole for the 40 lap finale with Ray Cook alongside. Riley assumed the point at the drop of the green and led all forty laps for the $3,000 payday and his first victory of the 2015 season.

Hickman had one serious challenge from eventual runner-up Donald McIntosh on the 22nd lap when he slid out of the groove while battling slower traffic. Pierce McCarter, Cory Hedgecock and Jason Hiett rounded out the top five finishers.

Hickman's heat race performance locked him into the eleventh starting spot on the grid for the 40 lap, $4,000-to-win finale. Riley quickly moved into the top ten at the onset of the main event, only to see his night come to an early end with just five laps complete when he nearly went air-born in turn two.
